Why Wound Care Matters for People with Diabetes

For people living with diabetes, even a small cut, blister, or scrape can become a serious problem. Diabetes can affect your circulation, reduce sensation in your feet and hands, and slow down your body's natural healing process. This means that wounds that would heal quickly for someone without diabetes can become infected, take longer to heal, and lead to serious complications – including hospitalisation or even amputation.

At Diabetes Safe, we provide professional wound care to help you heal safely and prevent complications. Led by an AHPRA Registered Nurse and Credentialled Diabetes Educator, we offer expert assessment, treatment, and education – in-clinic or in the comfort of your own home.

Our goal is to help your wound heal as quickly and safely as possible, while also teaching you how to prevent future wounds and recognise early signs of trouble.
